Environmental permits: AUA and other authorisations
The information is general in nature and does not replace consultancy: obligations must always be verified against the specific situation and current regulations.
Which environmental permits does my activity need?
Permits depend on the activity and on the environmental components involved: water discharges, atmospheric emissions, waste and plants. Many activities fall within the Single Environmental Authorisation (AUA). The authorisations required in your case need to be checked.
What the AUA is
The Single Environmental Authorisation brings several environmental permits (discharges, emissions, noise, waste) together in a single procedure for the activities covered. It simplifies dealings with the authorities.
Water discharges
Discharges of industrial and domestic wastewater are subject to authorisation or notification. The emission limits laid down and the conditions of the permit must be complied with.
Atmospheric emissions
Activities with channelled and diffuse emissions may require authorisation or be subject to specific requirements. The check depends on the activity and on the characteristics of the emissions.
Plants and activities subject to authorisation
Some plants require specific authorisations in order to operate. The firm supports the preparation of applications and relations with the competent authorities.
